I was working in Tribe 3 today, with ewan working next to me on his customer. This is a new development, as he becomes more and more capable and able to work independently. I'm still getting used to it!

Tiddy was looking after us on reception and with plenty of tea...

my first job was possibly one of the cutest pieces I've ever been asked to do, I wish I could say it was my design!

her other half got a piece of tribal started, he also came in with a design that I based this freehand piece on. It's going to have some grey shading in the middle



last I had a fixer-upper to do. the customer had an existing, squinty piece of tribal done 10 years ago that needed something done to it. He was attracted to the shapes of early celtic art from before knotwork came about, from anglo saxon times.. This piece is taken from a sword which is kept in the british museum.

the original piece needed some straightning up at one side, and in generalwas improved muchly by adding the new bits to distract from it.

the dots were another idea he liked, so we added them, what's white in the shapes now will be filled in balck with a bit of red and blue, although I quite like the way it looks now.

Nicola and I love the badger tattoo, Nic in particular as her grandad was known as Badger Grant. She also has a badger totem being ye olde Pagan that she is.

Love the way it looks like a pencil drawing even on the skin....fab!!
