it was a weegie wednesday, working down stairs with the girls- Lesley, Raffaella and Brunella while upstairs Tim and Mark held the fort
had two customers in, first was thatrick, getting some more colour put in his tattoo. I underestimated how long this would take and now I'm going to need another hour to finish it... I need to learn to be more realistic
also in was chris, to get some colour put in his sleeve and finish the grey wash in the background.
I'm glad he's happy with his tattoo, because when he came in he didn't really know what he wanted and i pretty much chucked this idea at him and he ran with it. He introduced some quirky ideas of his own once he got into the swing of things, like the eye below his elbow and the skull and cross bone idea for the geisha's kimono, and I think the result works well
I'm working at the Doncaster tattoo convention (the Tattoo Jam, put on by Skin Deep tattoo magazine) this weekend, so I wont be in the studio this friday or saturday. I'll be working saturday and sunday, so I'll post the usual convention blog up when i get back.
I had a big piece booked for the entire sunday at the convention, but he's had to pull out due to financial problems. (bloody recession!) So I've got some spare time, we'll have to see how that pans out, I'll probably be able to pick up some interesting work once I'm there. Introduces an element of chaos |

I thought I saw Chris's sleeve yesterday when I was in.
It's looking really good, even when it was wrapped in tape, blood and cling film!!!!!
Well done Chris, not too bad for not knowing what you wanted _________________ I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing, and everyone seems to have noticed. |

| More lovely stuff, Morag. I particularly love the blues in thatrick's piece - really vibrant. |

| I love blues, specially on people with nice white skin! the less yellow there is in someone's skin tone the purer the blues are. Lots of naturally occurring yellow causes blue tones to take on a slightly greeny hue |

I love blues (now) !
My favourite bit is the swirl just below the peony - the depth of colour there seems expecially intense.
Roll on October for the last hour.
